Who are we?
SandWalk is a platform that connects Backers and Creators, facilitating the development of products and services. Creators can showcase their Projects on the Platform through a Campaign, where Backers participate by providing financial support. In return, Backers gain exclusive early access to products and services, ahead of the general public, developed by a Campaign as a form of appreciation for their participation. SandWalk plays the role of an introducer and acts as an escrow service, securely holding the funds, until a Campaign has reached its Target Amount. Additionally, the Platform offers Creators the opportunity to engage with Professional Service Providers, who deliver a diverse range of support services through tailored packages.
Definitions
Backer means an individual or legal entity aiming to support Creators in the realization of their Projects. Campaign means a campaign with a limited timeline initiated by Creators on the Platform to attract support from Backers for their Projects. Creator means an individual or group of individuals looking to realize a Project. Platform means the platform created by SandWalk to connect Creators with Backers and SPs. Privacy Policy means this policy that outlines how SandWalk collects, use, and disclose the personal data. Professional Service Provider means an individual or legal entity offering packages of services to the Creators that decide to contract with them through the Platform. Project means an idea for a product or service that Creators aim to realize. SandWalk, We, Us, Our refers to SandWalk SARL. Site refers to the website sandwalk.co. Target Amount means the amount designated by a Creator on the Platform to be able to start executing their Project within the defined deadline. Terms means the terms of use of the Platform. User means any Backer, Creator, SP, or any individual using the platform for information purpose. PSP means payment service provider that receives money from Backers to be disbursed to Creators through SandWalk.

We take your privacy very seriously and we are committed to protecting it. We believe that you should easily know what personal data we collect and use, as well as to understand your rights in respect of your personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains our policies and practices regarding how we collect, use/process, and disclose the personal data that we collect through our Platform and how you can control the collection and/or deletion of such information. Please note that SandWalk is not responsible for the personal data publicly shared on the Platform or to other Users. Your use of our Site and Platform is also governed by the Terms which are to be read in conjunction with this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully as it provides important information about your personal data.
What personal data do we collect and how is it collected?
Personal data is information relating to an indentified or indentifiable natural person and legal entities. Such information may include: (i) Personal identification information: name, email address, address, and phone number. (ii) Payment information: payment details, such as credit/debit card information, billing address, and other payment-related data. (iii) Usage data: information about how you interact with and navigate through our services, such as your activity on the Platform, features used, pages visited, and the time and duration of your sessions. (iv) Communications data: your communication preferences, as well as the content of any messages or correspondence you exchange with us, such as emails, chat conversations, or other interactions. SandWalk collects information in multiple ways, including: (i) When you provide information directly to us, such as during account setup. (ii) When information is automatically collected from your device or browser, such as cookies or browsing activity. (iii) When information is received from third parties such as SandWalk’s trusted PSP.
Why do we collect your personal data and how do we use it?
We use your data to: (i) Process transactions and manage your account. (ii) Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries. (iii) Send updates, notifications, and marketing materials. (iv) Enhance and improve our Platform and services. (v) Ensure security and prevent fraudulent activities. (vi) Fulfill our legal and regulatory obligations.

We may disclose your personal data only to the parties indicated below and for the following reasons: (i) Third parties that assist us in delivering our services, including payment processors, email service providers, and other professional service providers. (ii) Other Users to facilitate the fulfillment of rewards and manage campaigns. (iii) Legal authorities and Courts: When required by law, or a competent authority, or by a court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or the security of our Users and platform.
